ABOUT ME

People have always trusted me with their personal thoughts and feelings. Whether supporting friends, family, students, or colleagues, I have always been drawn to helping people make sense of challenges, navigate change, and move forward with clarity and confidence.

I hold a Master of Counselling from Monash University and my approach is informed by more than 25 years of working closely with people. Before becoming a counsellor, I spent 10 years in market research, developing strong listening and communication skills, followed by 15 years in secondary education as a Mathematics teacher, Faculty Head, Teacher Mentor and Homeroom Teacher. Throughout my career, I've worked alongside adolescents, families, colleagues and professionals, supporting people through personal and professional challenges.

As part of my counselling training, I completed placement at Emmy Monash Aged Care, providing counselling to older adults experiencing grief, loss, ill health, life transitions, and uncertainty.

My counselling style is person-centred, compassionate, and non-judgemental. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and change, and my role is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, better understand yourself, and move towards the life you want to live.

MY APPROACH

My approach to counselling is grounded in compassion, curiosity, and a genuine belief in each person's capacity for growth and change.

I work in a way that is person-centred — which means you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you what to do or who to be, but to walk beside you and help you access your own strengths and find your own way forward. Our sessions are shaped around your goals, your pace, and what matters most to you.

Above all, I aim to create a space that feels safe, warm, and non-judgmental. Whatever you bring into the room, you will be met with openness and respect.

I draw on a range of evidence-based techniques and interventions, and tailor my practice to each individual, because no two people are the same.
